The Scholarship
What Amneh carries, and how far
Amneh selects a cohort of female students each year and stays with every one of them until she graduates and finds her footing in work. The scholarship begins after the first university year, once a student has shown what she can do with the place she earned.
Three things, every year, until she graduates
Funding
University tuition, paid directly. Books, materials and the essential expenses that make attendance possible. Enough that the question of whether she can continue never gets asked again.
Mentorship
Each student is paired with a mentor who has already walked the route she is on. They meet through the academic year. The mentor reads her work, answers the questions she would not ask a lecturer, and holds the standard steady when the student cannot see it herself.
Career guidance
Work begins long before the final semester: a CV that survives the first thirty seconds, interview practice repeated until it stops being frightening, and introductions to the people who actually hire in her field.
Eligibility
Who can apply
To be considered, all of the following must be true.
- You are a female student who graduated from a public school in Jordan.
- You are enrolled at one of Jordan’s public universities.
- You secured your university place through the competitive seats.
- You have completed your first university year.
- You finished that year with a high GPA.
If you are not certain your GPA is in range, apply anyway and we will tell you.
The Cycle
One cohort a year
The scholarship runs on an annual cycle, for the academic year ahead. The dates of the first cycle will be announced. Applications are read after the window closes, students are interviewed, and a cohort is selected. Every student selected is funded to graduation, not year by year.
There is no paper application, and there is never a fee at any stage.
